Children's winter boots – keep your child’s feet warm
Children love winter. Winter gives them many opportunities to have fun outdoors. That’s the reason why good quality winter clothes and good quality children's winter boots keeping our kids dry and warm are very important. The point is that children do not catch cold from their feet and good quality children’s winter boots take care of it.
Dry feet in the snow
Insulation is important when it comes to children's winter boots. A synthetic lining or a fleece underlay usually do this job. In both cases it could be nice fur, but also a smooth lining. Do not let it fool you, it certainly does not mean that the boots do not provide enough heat.
We should not forget the anatomy of the child’s foot when selecting children’s winter boots and we should also always bear mind that children's feet sweat much more than adult’s feet. Proper breathability of the shoe lets sweat evaporate so that your little one’s foot stays dry even during a heavy physical activity when it sweats. In this case it is particularly important the child's foot stays dry in winter boots. The sweatier the foot is, the faster the skin cools, which means that no matter how well the boot is insulated, a wet foot in such a shoe gets cold anyway. Children's winter boots should be waterproof and breathable!
Details of children´s winter boots
Good children's winter boots should be comfortable and should especially pay attention to healthy children's feet. If snow gets through the top of the shoe, even the best insulation is useless. High quality winter boots always have a tightening top of the shoe which forms a snow collar. An advantage of children's winter boots is if they have a removable insole that can be easily dried and possibly replaced. Quality is also determined by certain small details, such as reflective elements that increase the visibility of your child in gloomy winter days.
